About Me

I was born in Pakistan. I spent most of my childhood in a small, rural village called Pehr Hali, district Rawalpindi.

Having moved from Pakistan in 1980, I have been living in Scotland for the last 31 years- worked in Imperial Chemical Industries ( ICI)  in Dumfries for 2 years after graduating. Then I managed my family motor trade business for a few years.

October 2003 was when I joined Islamic Relief as a fundraiser and now I head Islamic Relief Scotland.

I am a Community & Corporate fundraiser, trainer (Leadership and Fundraising), Public Speaker, and a field worker!

Thanks for visiting my Site. Here is a quick summary of my work through a slide show.

Throughout the course of my work I have visited Sudan, Niger, Ethiopia, Somaliland, Indonesia, Pakistan, Kashmir, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Syria, Gaza, the Occupied Palestinian Territories and Lebanon.

I do play sitar in my free time, at various functions the length and breadth of Scotland.
