We held our Islamic Relief Scotland Ramadan campaign launch 2010 at The City Chambers, Glasgow City Council on 9th August, by kind permission of Bailie Hanzala Malik.

A mix of people were invited including key media, BBC, STV, Press and radio. Head of Oxfam Scotland, Head of Christian Aid Scotland, church and mosques leaders, university representatives, local community groups were also present.
 
Glasgow Central MP, Anas Sarwar said during his speech “My heart goes out to those who have lost loved ones and those who are suffering as a result of the floods which have hit Pakistan. It’s a desperately sad situation. I urge everyone to help in any way they can - be that by donating directly, giving their time to fundraising campaigns or lobbying their Government to provide support.
